Events—upcoming and past

Upcoming and Past Events (most recent, or furthest into the future, at the top). Writing on Nov. 2, 2014, I haven’t been given much love to the site for a long time now. Since a flurry of activity related to Returning to Sacred World in 2011 and 2012, I’ve moved on to other projects. As well as co-organizing the Spirit Plant Medicine Conference, now in its fourth year in Vancouver, BC, I’ve been working on a book on cannabis and spirituality. In a mysterious coincidence, the likely title of the book will be Cannabis and Spirituality. The first events below are mostly related to this new project.

The book project mentioned above will have a dedicated website, cannabisandspirituality.com. This website should be up and running before the end of November, 2014. The book itself has no publication date as of yet, probably late 2015. This one will be much different than Returning to Sacred World, much more narrowly focused for starters on the one plant, and also with close to a dozen other contributors. This is a brilliant collection of people with deep experience with cannabis from a variety of perspectives.

On Oct. 17, 2014, Jeremiah Vandermeer interviewed me on Pot TV (online) about the 2014 conference and issue relating to the cannabis book project. I was on first, from about 2 minutes in to about 33 minutes. There was some very interesting chat on conference related topics until about the 20 minute mark. The rest of the conversation was about cannabis and its spiritual potential. Chris Bennett, a contributor to the book, came on right after that.

On Oct. 16, 2014, Martin W. Ball interviewed me on his Entheogenic Evolution podcast. The first section is about the Spirit Plant Medicine Conference 2014, now past. Following that is a fairly lengthy discussion about the forthcoming cannabis book project.

Mar. 13, 2011. Host Trevahr Hughes interviewed me on www.EntheoRadio.com. It should be accessible in the show’s archives

Andrew Rezmer interviewed me again, on February 16, 2011, specifically about the Native American Church. It’s archived at the website www.consciouslivingradio.org.

Wed. Nov. 24, 2010, 6 pm PST. Host Andrew Rezmer interviewed me on themes related to the book for about a half hour on his popular online radio show Conscious Living Radio (www.consciouslivingradio.org). You can go directly to the interview here: http://www.consciouslivingradio.org/?p2=/customcode/consciousliving/viewcomments.jsp&bid=227. It’s in the section for past shows.

Sun. Sept. 26, 2010, 8 p.m. PDST: Robert Phoenix interviewed me on Free Association Radio. If you missed it live, it’s also searchable at Robert’s website.

  1. Kaelen Delcastillo says:

Cannabis is a spiritual medicine no doubt
We just legalized here in Alaska but the recreational element has blinded some to the sacred nature
Of cannabis. Blind laws have to be seen as such and
Traditional roots are so important to fall back on
