Thanks for sharing that excellent news with me. As well as being a heartening story, it adds confirmation to my developing understanding that these plants are minded and compassionate and the more trouble one is in the more seriously they commit themselves to their healing work.
I wish you great good fortune on your journey and if you're inclined to write again sometime I'd be very interested in hearing how the benefits you have received from ibogaine are holding up over time.

Hello and thanks for your comments. I'm very pleased to hear this kind of feedback. As for the illegality problem, yes, we
live in sadly uninformed times with wasted gifts and lost opportunities of many kinds. The good news is that the thick veil is slowly lifting. The dead engine of approved research has been restarted and the underground zeitgeist is shifting sharply. Until sanity reigns again those of us who know something about the potential of the healing/awakening plants will find our ways and hopefully add our voices in whatever way we can.
Let me know of any future developments in your relationship with the Saint Children.
Stephen.

Thank you for the article, it is the first thing I have read about low dose psilocybin and it echoes some of my experiences. I have intuitively been draw to taking a low dose of mushrooms for the past few months to treat a mild case of depression / anxiety/ alcoholism. I have noted a tolerance arise to the side effects such as a dry mouth, though it does not appear to reduce the positive effects such as clear thinking, vivid dreaming, deep relaxation and the ability to orgasm again too; all of which antidepressant medication diminished in me. It is so sad that such an important and comparatively safe source of medicine is taboo.

Lisa. Much thanks for posting that heartening news. As you implied, though we're not about to submit any grandiose claims to the scientific/medical journals, every piece of information helps build the case and shift the zeitgeist toward recognizing and honoring the potential of these plants that have lain in obscurity and disrespect for too long.
I welcome further updates and wish you great good fortune on your healing/awakening journey.
Stephen.

I used very small doses (under 1 gram) to work with my depression and get off lexapro. I mean tiny doses like mentioned above, unnoticeable. About 1 dose once every two weeks, for a total of five times. It seems to have worked. I weened off during this period and have no recurrent depressional other than mild situational. Tried for years and no success prior.

I have a very high resistance to Psillys, as well as aya, so I went on to work with very high 7gram doses (couldnt even feel 5 grams where others fragmented at 3 of the same!) and had little to no visions, but was intensely telepathic at least, unformed, undifferentiated awareness at best!) Depending on the dose and situation, much work was done on the psychological planes, the transpersonal planes, and the spiritual levels. Amazing medicine! Only worked with it about 4 times.

Although this is only anectdotal, I suspect that doses with which we have no overt experience at all from are also medicinal in remarkable ways.

I hope Johns Hopkins will expand their studies to low dose experiments such as this as well.

Thanks for all your service to these remarkable gifts given us, often so misused and misunderstood.

MIchael. I haven't done low doses—or any other quantity for that matter—frequently enough to answer your question. In my experience the low dose levels I was writing about don't evoke visuals anyway, certainly not the clear, powerful visions that always appear for me at higher doses. The only information I have relating to your question is that passed on to me by a friend. He was at a spirit plant medicine conference and asked one of the presenters, a person well-known in the field, if she had any suggestions for dealing with depression. She recommended a very low dose of psilocybin mushrooms each morning.
I'd rather keep the name of the presenter private. However, I know her well enough through her writings to feel confident that she knows a lot about the mushrooms and has the integrity not to hand out advice irresponsibly.
So don't hold me to it but I doubt if you would cause yourself any harm by frequent low dose ingestion. My guess is that it would be good medicine. If you do use the little Saint children like that please let me know how that works out after a while.
All the best,
Stephen.

Does the lower dose allow for greater frequency? I read somewhere else the body develops a "resistance" to the effects with frequencey, and maybe that is referring only to the visual effects. I am curious about the long term frequent low dose use.
