Jay. Excuse the delay in responding. I've been out of contact with the machines for awhile. I'm sorry to have to sound somewhat discouraging about peyote ceremonies. The reality as I understand it is that it's not that easy to make that connection. I wrote about the Native American Church primarily as a kind of role model in principle but not necessarily in specifics for how we in the modern world can effectively conduct medicine ceremonies. Unlike in the world of ayahuasca, there is no commodification involved. The ceremonies are part of a way of life that I just happened to have been fortunate enough to make contact with. Nobody is supposed to charge for ceremonies and they would never be advertised or promoted. For most of the people I know the situation is somewhat like Alcoholics Anonymous in that they're there because their lives were badly off track, often involving addiction, and the NAC is saving their lives.
The best I can suggest to you is this: If you're going to be in the U.S. for an extended period of time you could travel around in the rural areas of the western half of the country where there are a lot of native communities and ask around. That relates to intention as I understand it. If the gods are with you and you have a strong and clear intention, sometimes something appears on your path to guide you in the right direction. If your travels bring you to Vancouver BC in Canada you could also write me again and perhaps we could get together for a coffee. I only make it to about 4 or 5 ceremonies a year myself but as I say, who knows.

Hello,
I am travelling to the states from Australia later on this year and am interested in taking part in a peyote ceremony. Do you have any information in this regard?

Thankyou
